Super Smash Bros. 4 won't have cutscenes or story mode

Unfortunately, the movie scenes we worked hard to create were uploaded onto the internet…You can only truly wow a player the first time he sees [a cutscene]. I felt if players saw the cutscenes outside of the game, they would no longer serve as rewards for playing the game, so I’ve decided against having them.
With all do respect, this is some of the dumbest logic I’ve ever heard. Most video games cutscenes are uploaded to Youtube, it doesn’t make it any less awesome seeing them for the first time. I remember watching the entire Subspace Emissary before Brawl came out. I didn’t love the cutscenes any less thereafter.
Considering that the next installment is the first time we’ll see Smash in HD, this is a massive missed opportunity. [❤]
