Pokemon X and Y MegaEvolutions: A Primer
There’s tons of information about the new Mega Evolutions in Pokemon XY going around and some of it is completely false. I thought I’d help clear the air a bit.
- Mega Evolutions aren’t seperate evolutions.
- They happen in battle and will change your Pokemon’s stats, abilities, and sometimes their type.
- It’s unknown how this happens but “Mega Stones” have been mentioned.
Types for Mega Evolution.
- MegaBlaziken remains Fire/Fighting. New ability is Speed Boost.
- Mega Lucario is also Steel/Fighting. New ability is Adaptability.
- MegaMawile is Steel/Fairy. New ability is Huge Power.
- MegaAbsol remains Dark type. New ability is Magic Bounce.
- MegaAmpharos is Electric/Dragon. New ability is also Magic Bounce.
