Happy 15th Birthday, Ocarina of Time
I don’t think there’s a game I’ve played more.
When I was 10, I underwent surgery that had me out of school for about 6 months. When I came out of the hospital, I had Ocarina of Time waiting for me, and I played it out. It was a huge part of the recovery process, and I was happy that the game was there for me in a trying time.
In retrospect, it’s not exactly my favorite game of all time (it’s not even my favorite Zelda), but I have the best memories associated with it. Still, it became a such a massive hit, that most modern Zeldas are still compared to it.
